Jodi earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the College of Business Administration at the University of South Florida. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Jodi understands the complex intricacies of retirement planning, estate planning and portfolio analysis.  She is also a CERTIFIED EXIT PLANNING ADVISOR®, a planning credential that is considered to be the most highly regarded in the field today.  As a CEPA®, Jodi is qualified to serve the needs of business owners to create positive change and enable successful exits regardless of the timing.

As a member of the National Financial Planning Association, Jodi keeps abreast of all-important tax, retirement and investment updates and changes that may benefit her clients. Jodi is also on the Advisory Council for the Financial Planning Degree program at USF’s Muma College of Business and is the past FPA Student Chapter Mentor. She is the President of the FPA of Tampa Bay. She is also a past Board Member for PACE Center for Girls Hillsborough, Inc.

In her free time, Jodi loves to go “glamping” in her fifth wheel.  Yes, you read that right — A more glamorous way of camping and enjoying the great outdoors!  She also enjoys volunteering and being hands on in her community, such as conducting pasta making classes and hosting other fun, engaging activities to serve the greater Tampa Bay area. 

Jodi has been quoted in a Tampa Bay newspaper as well as being a featured guest speaker on a local TV station. Her professional registrations include: Series 7, 24, 63, 65 and Florida Life, Health & Variable Annuity insurance licenses.

Jodi strives to provide quality, objective financial advice when working with clients. Her licenses and professional registrations give her the opportunity to offer a complete range of possible investment solutions for clients to consider. Having access to such a large variety of investment alternatives allows Jodi to deliver a higher level of sophistication and customization in the financial plans she builds for her clients.

Jodi and her business partner, Jeannie Holliday, like to be very involved in the communities they serve. Jodi and Jeannie are Co-Directors of the North Tampa Pasco Chapter of Charity Chics. Charity Chics is a unique organization that brings women together who want to combine marketing, philanthropy and networking in the Tampa Bay area. Since its charter in April 2013, their Chic Chapter has donated over $20,000 to local organizations including Dress for Success, Women-n-Charge and United Way of Pasco to name a few. Jodi is a former member of the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce as well as a board member of PACE Center for Girls Hillsborough.

Raymond James has grown to become a well-respected, widely recognized multinational firm with distinct business units that serve a variety of clients, from individuals and small business owners to municipalities and major corporations.

As part of her 30 years’ experience, Jodi was Vice President at a registered broker/dealer located in Tampa, FL and managed a team of 20 financial planning professionals. She has been a CFP® or CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional for 25 years and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

In 2007, Jodi joined forces with Jeannie Holliday, to create Independent Financial Services. Together, they form a team full of knowledge. Jodi and Jeannie know that in this day and age, the old adage, “two heads are better than one” is critical when it comes to offering professional and knowledgeable financial advice.

 

 

The recipients are nominated by top management at Raymond James, Recipients were nominated by their regional sales managers and represent each of the firm’s regions and divisions. To qualify, nominees must: 1) be members of their broker/dealer’s recognition councils, 2) have shown exceptional leadership by mentoring those around them, and 3) have a long history of community involvement that is beyond a financial commitment, such as serving as an active volunteer, board member or local representative, and the award is presented during the annual Women’s Symposium held in St. Petersburg, FL.
